Production Method
Ambient-temperature cold production (no auxiliary processes)
The Challenge
Sand sticking, heavy string loads, and conventional method failure — triple constraints on cold production
High water cut & sand sticking risk
Composite water cut reaches 82%, sand content 0.02%, degassed crude dynamic viscosity 200 mPa·s. Severe sand sticking risk during production.
Heavy tubing string load
The well bears a heavy tubing string load, constraining overall production capacity.
Conventional methods ineffective
Conventional approaches with friction reducer adjustments failed to restore normal production. The lift system became the capacity bottleneck.
The Solution
HXBS deployed the IntelliCPCP® intelligent conical progressive cavity pump system
A comprehensive lift technology upgrade targeting the core challenges of ambient-temperature cold production in conventional heavy oil.
Tapered rotor-stator clearance allows dynamic gap adjustment and sand-laden production, effectively extending pump inspection cycles.
The system prevents sand burial and reverse rotation during shutdown, prevents scale sticking after steam injection, and auto-lifts to clear sand sticking.
Remote monitoring and parameter adjustment, automatic pump efficiency optimization, enabling unmanned intelligent management.
